Underrated and simply the best 3rd person shooter experience on a Handheld Console

User Rating: 9 | Dead to Rights: Reckoning PSP
Dead To Rights Reckoning, is ambitous compared to other shooter realeases such as Killzone, SWAT and 50 Cent, that choose a top-down or isometric view when ported to the PSP.

The presentation is very barebones, the cutscenes might as well not be there as the story is boring and there is no voice acting to support it. But the Action speaks for itself, and while the level and eneamy layout may not be revolutionary, the action is supperb.

It is basically walk in to a room and takeout all comers. The action is split into Bullet time diving headshots, extremely violent and satisfying takedowns and your sidekick shadow, who you can use sparenly across the levels.

The controls for all 3 methods of violence are polished and run to pull off, even when your repeating it for the 500th time. The Graphics are also top class for the machine, matching ps2 level detail in some scenes as the game bravely jumps into full 3rd person mode rather than a top down view most other 3rd person shooter ports to the PsP take.

Overall, the game is short and repetetive , but it makes up with some great action that is just fun to explore as you take out combos of enemies with all 3 methods of murder.

The Good-
* Graphics in full 3d
* Takedowns are insanely fun to deliver
* Shadow is a nice back up for when the action gets too tight
* Controls are perfect even without the extra analog stick
* Great range of weapons that carry over into next levels.

The Bad-
* No interesting plot, with no voice over
* Extra Modes are non existant
* Enermies take too many shots before dying.
