the dead are begging to be slaughtered!

The first time you spend three days inside this mall that is jam-packed wall-to-wall with the undead you will probably spend all your time gleefully battering the un-living daylights out of the shambling corpses, giggling to yourself.

Shower head attachments rammed in to the skulls of the zombies resulting in comic stumbling and spraying blood=hilarious.

Stuffing bloodied hand stumps in to the mouths of zombies=pant-wetting belly laughs.

Traffic cones on zombie bonces and blind staggering= ....well, you get the idea.

But can a game of this nature keep your attention and have you returning again and again?
Well, yes actually. See, Dead Rising has a fantastic levelling up system that means each time you return to play, you have more moves with which to slaughter the zombie horde, more life and most importantly, the knowledge of survivor whereabouts and mission information.

There are many different ways you can play Dead Rising. You can spend your time saving the other living survivors, attempt to solve the 'main' story missions and the mystery of the outbreak, have a crack at the many varied boss characters (referred to as psycho's) or a combination of all these are more.

Dead Rising has a strong point/highsore based structure that rewards replay. The more you play, the more you will find you can achieve.

There has never been a zombie-themed game quite like Dead Rising. The mixture of bloody-gore, quirky characters and sheer fun works brilliantly. Its challenging, but if spend time learning the game you will find its achievable and rewarding.

There are a few niggling flaws here and there (that reaappearing jeep in the park!) and the save system has been criticsied (although I've never really found this to be an obstacle), but overall Dead Rising is a game that I thought was great to begin with and just got better.
