Killing Zombies is fun...sometimes
The first Dead Rising was a fun game. Zombies in a mall like George Romero's Dawn of the Dead, I loved the idea. This second part to the series is only a continuation of that same exact thing. Fun, but lacking anything more then just a zombie smash up. I had played the previous game on the Wii and enjoyed it briefly, but it's controls bothered me. This PS3 version is on a whole new level. The game needs an option to block or take cover behind something, because when you are trying to take out someone shooting at you it becomes a bit odd. Also, I understand that some weapons you use are heavier and in real life it would be slow to hit something with it, but at times it seems very slow and unresponsive when trying to use some of them. I can't begin to express how annoying trying to skateboard in this game is as well.
Even though the game seemed to have overly excessive loading between areas and cutscenes, I did like the story, and it is pretty damn funny to see your character wearing whatever funny outfit you have on him in it.
If you liked the first one or just like slaughtering zombies then you might have fun playing this, but i'd say rent it; because it is a short game afterall and killin' them zombies does get a bit monotonous.
