Once again, Capcom has made another excellent entry into the world of Dead Rising. I have been a huge fan since the first one came out several years ago. Although it had it's flaws, the idea and the game itself were worth it. That's not saying that their weren't times where I wanted to pull my hair out because of the terrible save system, or the moronic AI survivors who would end up running into walls, or even harming myself or other survivors. When I heard about Case Zero, I was very pumped to get my hands on time with it, and I have to say I was pretty pleased, but still a little concerned about certain aspects. I waited in line for over an hour at midnight at my local Gamestop to get DR2. As soon as I got home and cranked it on, I was very happy. The story, characters, and setting were wonderful, and the controls were much sharper. I also noticed almost immediately how much better the survivors were about protecting themselves and even saving my ass on a couple of occasions! The save system was much better, but I still think it could really use more updating as far as being more user friendly. A lot of people have complained about the timing system regarding missions, and even though I'm sure many people will disagree with me on this, I think it adds an intensity to the game, and gives you even more reason to go threw the game again and again. I was lucky and ended up getting the best ending, even though it killed me to help T.K out with the zombrex, I had a strong feeling that it would bite me in the ass if I didn't, and from what I have heard, I was right! So of course I was even more stoked to hear about "Case West"! I downloaded it just a few days ago, and I've been nothing but super pleased with it. The environment may not be as cool as the previous Fortune City, but the banter between Frank and Chuck is great. Throw in quicker load times, more combo cards, and multiple endings and you have another cult classic from Capcom. I would advise anyone who is a fan of the series to check this out, or anyone who just loves a fun action game with depth. With it ringing in at just 800 Microsoft points, it's one of the best deals out there!
