What a great game. I feel like it gets better as the game goes on.....which led to me being totally addicted

As you progress through the game, you meet more people, explore new areas, face new challenges, and get better weapons. The key to this game not getting boring consists of three main things:
1) Playing with friends. Nothing makes a game more enjoyable than some good old fashioned co-op.
2) The never-ending variety of weapons. Not only do you get to chose from frying pans and broomsticks, all the way to katanas and guns, but you can modify them as well. This is by far the best aspect of the game, making tons of different weapon possibilities.....and some pretty badass ones at that. Collecting good mods is like hitting the lottery.
3) All the little things. Like being able to kick a zombie to make some space, unlocking skills, upgrading and repairing your weapon.

Overall, Dead Island is a great game. Pretty cheesy with the cut-scenes and story development, but amazing with its game-play. Also, its always nice for a game to have its own wiki page.
