One word...EPIC

I watched some gameplay videos of this before trying it and wasn't expecting much, but the good reviews intrigued me. Let me just say, this game is way better than it looks when you're watching someone play it on YouTube. Darksiders is an absolute blast to play. I am a big fan of the God of War series and I would put Darksiders in the same category. This game is EPIC. The set pieces are almost as good as God of War and the characters are all unique and fun. So far there have been some battles where I found the game to be annoyingly difficult but overall I am enjoying the hell out of this game. As is typical of games today, there are (in my opinion) too many choices for the weapon/upgrade system. Every time I go to improve my gear I feel completely overwhelmed. But, my version of War is finally getting kick ass. The puzzles are just right and introduction of new enemies keeps the game fresh. One way I think they've surpassed God of War, you don't have boring hordes of enemies to wade through. I wasn't really expecting much but this game pleasantly surprised me. I am glad to hear they're making sequel. If you enjoyed God of War, you should definitely check out Darksiders.
