Good Game+Kind of Short+Still Worth 5 dollars+Perfect Difficulty=Good

This game pleasently surprised me. I got it because I saw it on gamespot as a good game and realized that it was a dsiware. I got it and was surprised. I ussuallly don't like old school games that much, but this was really good because it had some things other old school games don't have . 1. A jet pack. I loved it, but I diddn't realized you could hover until level two. 2. Tons of guns and powerups, with different abilities. This game had a huge variety of guns. There were some that shot rockets and some that shot those floating heads with crossbones. The power-ups were cool too with force fields and ither stuff. 3. Difficulty was just right. I liked the difficulty, and the only level that took me more than two tries was level two. The game raises the difficulty by giving you 100 hearts. Once they run out, it is game over unless you have a 1up of something. The boss battles were kind of the same though. 4. good character and level designs. These were great and I loved Rocky's look and how some aliens turn into worms when they die. The stages were greatly crafted, although I noticed that stage three was a little different somehow. 5. Story was simple, sweet, and to the point. I really don't like games where the story is long and takes up a lot of time. This game has a nice little story, without trying to go beyond that. The ending was satisfying, and I enjoyed it.

By the way, I noticed that the princess doesn't show up at all in the story?
