Confessions first: I am what most DkS players would call a "casul". This was my first Souls game, which taught me its ways in a wonderful, albeit rage-filled, experience. The game is challenging, but preparation and caution will see you through. The controls are intuitive and smooth, and the graphics cater to both the dark atmosphere and the beautiful views that can be seen within the world. Lore is given mostly through item descriptions instead of dialogue. This allows players who aren't interested in the story to simply enjoy the combat, but the stories behind Drangleic are well worth a read through your inventory. Anxious at first, I decided to try out PvP. Within minutes, I was hooked. Just watch out for Havels, gankers, and magic spammers!
