visually stunning yet horrifying! hell redefined! though they could have gone much farther with certain level lengths and larger monster varieties. the greed level should have been shorter while others longer and included more of the creatures from the epic poem itself. very enjoyable and though hard there is an auto-recovery at most places apart from save areas so you needn't die and have to start a large area all over again. it's also very easy to die by taking the wrong step or jump which may be the reason for the auto-recovery. the general consensus is that this game is a knock off of the god of war games but for those who have not played god of war and choose the Xbox over the PlayStation. it is a very entertaining game that is almost certainly not for children not due to the violence but due to the nudity, grotesque imagery and a theme children simply won't understand. if children were to play this game, their lack of worldly knowledge and adult experience would cause them to have little fun as they would not understand the game's context. the game's historical, mythical and cultural queues from the original poem will be completely lost on children while for fans of the poem and its texts will thoroughly enjoy this game.
