Crysis is a typical first person shooter, and for that it cannot be faulted. Graphically it is excellent, and I always marvel at how these game developers manage to get so much out of the XBOX these days. You play as a nanotech enhanced soldier, so you can get killed repeatedly and always come back to life – I wish these games sometimes had just a bit more realism in the life and death department. There are plenty of challenges and missions to keep you occupied, this is a very linear game and that is not a bad thing as you don't need to think about where to go next or what to look for. The cut scenes are good, the gameplay is excellent but I prefer to be able to save out when and where I want rather than just getting checkpoints, so that is a minor niggle. All in all, a good sequel and well worth picking up.
