BOOM HEADSHOT!!!

User Rating: 8.5 | Cross Fire PC
Okay, here's the deal with this game.. it has haters and it has lovers. The basic overview of the game is simple; take a gun in your hand, and shoot at the enemy. Yet Crossfire goes much farther than that.

Game Modes: Apart from the common Team Death Match (TD), Search and Destroy (S&D), Elimination, and Free for All (FFA), Crossfire brings Ghost Mode (GM) and Mutant Mutation (MM) into the mix.

TD: You start out in a little 'base' area with all/half your team, consisting of up to 8 players. You use the gun you currently have equipt, and run around shooting the other team, getting as many kills as possible. Team strategy comes into play sometimes, yet when its not a clan match, strategy is rarely used; go with the flow.

S&D: The setup is nearly the same as in TD, but the game consists of a number of rounds. These rounds are won by either planting C4 and defending it until it explodes, killing all the players on the opposition before they plant/disarm the C4, or before the time runs out.

Elimination: You're still on a team with a bunch of players, but this time you gotta choose from one of the guns on the ground to be your killing machine. There are, again, a number of rounds which you win by eliminating (thus the name) all the players on the other team.

FFA: Simple. There's a set of kills one person must reach. You're a one man army, using your own gun, trying to reach the set number of kills before any other person.

GM: The setup is the same as S&D, but instead of having two teams shooting at eachother, one team is composed of Ghosts. You're literally invisible, running around with only a knife, slashing the crap outta everyone on the other team. It might seem unfair at first, but it's a lot of fun. (Ghosts plant and guard the C4 b.t.w.)

MM: I haven't really played it. Basically, there's one mutant in the begging with TONS of health and only a close range attack that transforms other players into weaker, but still deadly, mutants. The object is to either kill all the mutants, or transform all the guys with guns into huge, green, running monsters.

Community: Players are USUALLY friendly, and some (lots actually) don't speak English. BUT that's okay; the only time you'll need to communicate is in clans, other than that, you'll be too busy shooting others butts.

Clans: Most clans have requirements in order to join them. High k/d ratios, languages, and # of daily hours played are all common requirements.

Hackers: Right now, there are basically no hackers on Crossfire. There's the random glitcher here and there, but nothing too major. If you encounter one, just leave the game :D

Guns: One of the best parts of this game (for me) is that the guns you buy are PERMANENT. All you have to do is repair them and THAT"S IT!!! Some guns purchased with ZP(you buy with actual money) last 7ish days, but that's not a game changer. After all, a head shot is a head shot with ANY gun.

Overall: If you're looking or an FPS that will stun you with amazing graphics, life like situations, and gun customization, then you'[re barking up the wrong tree. Crossfire is for those that like to shoot things, and in my opinion, this game does a damn good job of that.
