Croc is one of those games i liked as a kid and i still do now.

User Rating: 9.4 | Croc: Legend of the Gobbos PS
The good parts of this game is the gameplay, the gameplay is pretty much like a platformer, you run around, jump, kill enemies, so on and so forth. The levels are really good and they are pretty good in length too, a level for a beginner player might take up to 10-15 minutes to beat, that is if you are a beginner at this game. This game can also keep you looking for things, in each level, there are 5 colored gems, if you find them, you can take a special door for a cool minigame and maybe get some lives, then the end is right there in front of you. The boss fights are really cool and each boss has a certain way how to beat them. There are also many mini-bosses in this game too, there is 1 miniboss in each world and these bosses also have a certain way to be beat them. The graphics are really nice, and the visuals are really good. The sound effects are also really good, the box-breaking sounds realistic, the gem collecting sounds nice. The music, this game has some of the best music i have ever heard in any video game i have every played in my life, the music is really nice, its peaceful [in the early levels], the music is really well done. You will really never know where you will end up in a level, you can be out side then out of nowhere, you might have to break a well open and then you will be in a cave, or you could be in a cave, then you would walk out of the door and you will be outside with a pit of lava in front of you. The bad parts of this game is the story, the story really isn't the best to come out in the video gaming industry, mainly you have to find these little furry things called Gobbos and some are so annoying to get, it will leave you really mad. This game is aimed for a child audience, if you are around 14 to 15 years old when you first play this game, then this might not be one of the better games you have played in your lifetime. The controls are somewhat bad, its not that they dont respond, its just, they are kinda slick, you can barely tilt the analog stick and croc will go further than you intended him to. The game is a little on the cute side, for younger children, they would like it, but as a teenager, seeing a rainbow in the background, it is just plain creepy. Overall, even though Croc is a little on the cutesy side and aimed for younger children, it is a really nice platformer, and a nice game.
