Crazy Taxi for the PS2 is an outdated and extremely flawed game that should not have been released due to the lack of any upgrades for this version. The graphics on this game are very subpar, although they may have appeared good on the Dreamcast they are simply unacceptable for a PS2 game. The vehicles and environments are almost 2D and render as you move toward them. The soundtrack is bland and the sound effects are cheap and unrealistic. I found the controls difficult to use especially the X and O buttons controlling the drive you were in. The game is fast-paced and often challenging to complete. The lo-res graphics hinder the gameplay because the environments are so undetailed that you are not at all drawn into the game experience. The only redeeming quality of this video game is the inclusion of numerous fun minigames. I recommend that you borrow this game to play, because it isnt worth the cost of renting it.
