Great platformer with interesting characters
This is a 3D action platform game. You attack by jumping on or spin attacking enemies. Along the way you collect mangos and smash boxes. Some boxes contain one or ten mangos, or launch you higher, or are unbreakable. If you get all of the boxes in a particular level, you get a gem as a reward. Different levels give different color gems (but color isn’t known until you actually get it). Various secret areas exist in every level. Completing ALL levels gets you access to a secret area, which is needed for a 100% finish.
Didn’t know what to expect because I had never seen this game series before but I got the game cheap and turned out I really liked it! + Fun!
+ Easy controls to learn, but a little difficult to master.
+ Variation in viewpoint for different levels.
+ Good boss level design: challenging but reveals pattern so not impossible.
- Some of the level viewpoints (like walking in or out of the screen) were challenging when trying to navigate pitfalls.
- Don’t know you missed a box until you finish a level and then you have to do the entire level again.
