Sony declared Crash their mascot before testing his success...not wise.
This is your standard platformer, decent music, jump over stuff, boppin people on the head. All that crap.
It reminded me a lot of playing donkey kong or mario in 3D form.
Crash's story is a bit....not there. I mean the character is just there doin stuff and the plot is really weak...but i guess this isnt a RPG so i mean what are you expecting? Still - it's hard to find motivation for the tasks you are doing.
The levels are nice - but there isnt enough original material here to warrant playing this over..inserting your favorite platformer from the past: DK or Mario.
Camera angles can be a pain as well - trying to jump up on ledges, etc is a pain in the you know what at times and adds lots of unneccessary frustration to the game.
This game is not a rip-off and should be what you expect when you pick it up (at least now)...I was expecting a bit more out of the franchise myself.
