Warped redux.

User Rating: 7 | Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (Platinum) PS2
Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex is a very fun game. But it feels like a carbon copy of Crash Bandicoot: Warped in nearly every way. It controls the same, if not a little bit worse. It also has very similar game mechanics. It even has the same warp room system found in the previous game. There are just too many similarities to list. You'll pilot a spaceship, fly through a lava base with a jetpack, race with a jeep, roll through an icy wasteland in a ball, and even race around in a runaway mine cart. The game's graphics are pretty good for a 2001 game, but the boss fights are very frustrating. The game only takes about three hours to get through, but in the long run it can be very difficult to complete. Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex is a good game that doesn't reinvent the series in any way, but it is a fun experience.
