Maybe I am late to the Crash Bandicoot party, but if this game is representative of the series as a whole, then please count me out. This is some of the most annoying and unforgiving gameplay I have seen. One touch and then you die and sent back to a checkpoint often far back in the level is annoying, to say the least. And the whole business of having a stationary camera that is often in front of Crash was irritating. I could not see the obstacles I was approaching until it was too late and then I would have to remember where they were when I had to go back through. Someone told me that sort of thing is a Crash staple...if so, unstaple it. Most irritating was the inability to save midlevel. Very frustrating. Graphics are clunky and unrefined. Weak compared to other games for the XBox. Voice acting is generally pretty good although the lip animations do not correspond well with the dialogue being spoken. Having R. Lee Ermey as one of the elementals was a nice touch. Even though this is now a value game, it is tough to be enthusiastic about the value offered. I mean, it just was not much fun overall. I would give this a pass.
