Crash Bandicoot The Wrath Of Cortex is another game like the originals on the PS1, but it is just not as good as them.

User Rating: 6.7 | Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (Platinum) PS2
The good part of this game is the gameplay, again, the gameplay is the same exact as the crash series was meant to be, you run, jump, avoid TNT, Nitro boxes, breaking boxes killing enemies and so forth. The controls are still the same, you press X to jump, and so on. There are many secrets in this game juts like the originals, you have secret paths and many secret things to collect. Just like any other Crash Bandicoot game, this is another game that might take awhile to completely beat, you have to collect all of these gems spreaded around the world, and it can get annoying at times because they are really hard to find. The graphics are really great and just like all the other Crash games, they did a find job on visuals. The bad parts of this game is the levels, yea they are a good amount in length, but they just are not the same as the originals on the PS1, the level design is just not too good, the enemies are more annoying than ever. In this game, there are many more ways to die, you still got the pitfalls and enemies killing you, but there are some things that just put you in mortal danger of dieing for example, there is a level where you have to ride in this buggy looking thing and you get chased by big rinos i think, and if they hit you, you die, you just get put in more danger of dieing. The controls are a really hard to control in this game, its not that the controls dont respond, its that the controls are kinda "slick", you can be walking forward and if you turn just a little bit, he will walk way too far than what you intended on him doing, and on ice, it is just a lot worse. Overall, if you are a hard-core fan of Crash, this game is for you, but, mainly this game is more for rent.
