If it ain't broken, don't fix it!

User Rating: 7.5 | Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (Platinum) PS2
As a long die-hard Crash Bandicoot fan I have spent hundreds of hours playing the old classics, and when I finally bought a PS2 because my old PS1 burned out I figured I might as well get the PS2 Crash-titles.

Wrath of Cortex is in many ways similar to the older PS1 titles in the way that it borrows elements from the past Crash Bandicoot games. This is by no means a bad thing, yet i begs the question if they had any real new ideas for the franchise.

The controls are a bit more less responsive than previous installments and some of the moves feel a bit bland compared to the previous games, still the graphics are a nice boost over the previous games and this give Wrath Of Cortex a nice appeal.

Crash does exactly what he has always done in a platform title, he jumps around collecting crystals and diamonds wumpa fruits, smashing crates and fighting bosses, the nostalgic feeling you get when you play this game is what makes it worthwhile for me.

So I would highly recommend this to any Crash Bandicoot fan, because the old and proven formula still works!
