Universal finally does something right!

User Rating: 7.5 | Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (Platinum) PS2
The only time Universal actually made a FUN game was back when they were working with Insomniac and Naughty Dog, but surprisingly, they made a pretty good game without them, sure it's not as good as previous games but you should find some interesting stuff here.

The game is basically like a remake of Warped with different characters, better graphics, and a new story, because the Warp Room is the same as before, Crash is the same as before, the levels are basically the same and it's still challenging and overall fun to play.

The graphics are probably the best part, they're really good and you can barely even see the pixels in Crash, they're really 3D and the enviroments look great and cinematics look great. BOTTOM LINE: The graphics are some of the best on the PS2.

I think some of the problems are that it can get repetetive, and despite Warped being a great game, it hasn't changed enough since then, some worlds are also boring and some boss fights are terribly thought out. It also sucks that you still have lives, so you can't keep dying and dying without any effect, instead you'll get a Game Over.

Pros: Good graphics. Simple gameplay thats really easy to learn. a good length with a decent difficulty. Riding in robots can be fun.

Cons: Repetetive boss fights. Some boring levels. For better or for worse, it's just like Warped.

It's still a good game and if you have a PS2 or PS3, you should try it.
