Enjoyed The Whole Game!

I'll admit, when I first heard about the remake, I was really anxious. But, after playing all three games, I realized that Vicarious Visions had done an excellent job. The game is gorgeous, the lighting and colors are outstanding. Not to mention, it feels fantastic to control. But, I will say that the racing levels in Warped feel the exact same, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. However, everything else feels great.

A slight issue I had with the game was the voice acting. Cortex was in character, along with Tropy, Brio, Dingodile, Coco, etc. All except for Gin. It could just be me, but he seemed extremely out of character. In Cortex Strikes Back, he was cold, stern, monotone, and emotionless. Now, it just seems they've made him a wacko. I mean, he is a cyborg. So I truly do believe that they went over the top with him. Throwing his hands up in the air and laughing, he would never do such a thing! Very ooc. Which brings me to our next topic.

Once again, everybody was fine except for Gin, when it came to character design. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. When we first met Gin, his stature was short and stiff, his skin pinkish, and his hair wild and orange. No, not red, orange. If Tropy can keep his blue skin, and Cortex his yellow skin, why would they make Gin beige? It's really upsetting to see him be treated like this. He is as bizarre looking as the rest. And yet, they made him look the most realistic. Gin is supposed to be a small man with hardly and personality who talks unnervingly. He's a walking caricature just like the others, and yet? They make him look the most human. They're supposed to be weird and evil, not ominous and creepy. They did Gin very dirty.

With all of that aside, I have almost no complaints about everything else. I think it's the same main three games, just with a (mostly) better look. If you haven't played any of the other games, I would 100% recommend this to you, if you enjoy challenges, pretty scenery, funny characters, and fun levels. This game is pretty amazing overall. Still bitter about Gin, though.
