Just the beginning of Crash's awesome streak.

Wow. I hadn't played this game since I was a kid and got it out to play again. Now I appreciate it more and less all the same, but it's an awesome game. If you own a PlayStation system that can play this and the other Crash Bandicoot games from the PS1, do yourself a favor and go to Amazon.com or eBay and buy them. They are some of the best PS1 games, but I'm writing this review to talk about Crash 2, so here goes..
Cortex Strikes Back is an excellent sequel to an incredibly, brutally challenging Crash Bandicoot. This game took me about 5 hours or so to beat, and for any experienced gamer, it shouldn't take much longer than that to beat all 25 levels and all 5 bosses. If you go for completion, then you have 42 other gems to collect, and that's really hard to do and would take a really long time. It's a great 3-D platformer with pretty clean graphics (for a PS1 game that is) and good controls. The game is fun and comical as well, with several humorous death animations involving Crash disintegrating into a pile of ash, becoming a transparent angel, or getting buried alive by a guy with a large hammer. So Crash 2 is a great game, and a must-own for all PlayStation owners!
