Just as immersible as before ... smooth fast to learn. Maps are now more balanced and 2 new modes "Arms Race" and "Demolition" are the ones I find myself playing the most. These 2 new modes are also a very good way of improving your skills before you hit the community online.
The weapons have been updated but all the familiar weapons are retained.
Online gaming on CS has always been its USP and it certainly doesn't fail in that department. Works well even on modest internet speeds.

Drawback :-
Very little or no customization. I can play offline but I can only chose between 4 modes very restrictive unlike the previous versions where you can customize everything from how many bots play in the game to which weapon they use. Here you don't have any such options.
You only chose if you want to be a CT or a T but can't chose which CT you want to be or which Terrorist group you want to fight for.
I was expecting more new maps but was left disappointed.
