The main thing you will be doing in Costume Quest is collecting different costume parts, stamps, and Candy along 4 different Map Locations. Each location is filled with little puzzles, houses asking to be knock on, and characters to talk to. All the costumes in the game have dual usage. In the Overworld you will find various costumes throughout your journey that you can equip to 3 different party members. Simple puzzles like using your shield to block rocks in order to pass a previous blockage. Or using your robot costumes roller skates to jump ramps. And even a French fry Costume to lure kids to food stands. Not only will these costumes help solve puzzles each costume has its own unique battle attributes and quickly you will find you favorites.
Battle System is straight forward. You can equip your characters with stamps which are added bonus to your characters. These things vary like adding poison to attacks, or getting more candy when killing enemies. You can buy stamps using your candy you collect. If anyone has played Lost Odyssey you will find that the battle system almost mimics it. Getting power boost is easy as the on screen command most of them are timed based like Lost Odyssey's battle style, but also repeatedly hitting an on screen button for example. Its very fun and easier to play then to describe it lol..
Overall Costume Quest is a Fun Adventure for a budget price. The Game is short but satisfying, making it a prime example of what downloadable titles should be like. Its one of my personal favorites and recommend to any RPG fans or anybody who likes cartoons. This is a very good halloween game you wont want to miss!! Now its time we get a good Christmas game.. Hmm..

Story: Simple straightforward but gets the job done enough.. not what this game is about..
Graphics: Colorful and Unique Graphics Bursting with Life, Simple yet Nice and do the game justice
Sound: no voice Acting, generic sounding background music overall but any Psychonaut fan will recognize the camp store song in the mall.. ahh memories love that game
Gameplay: RPG elements work great, very simple so that people who want to try out RPGs who never played them will find a very easy learning curve. The Map is kinda wonky and i had some troubles finding things that were right in front of me based on the map.. it could have used a better map system or camera imo..
Overall: One of those top games on the download by Double Fine its imaginative and great anybody who was searching for a halloween game look no further.. Costume Quest is here!
