Contra Alien Wars review. The first review I've done.

Konami has been known for difficult games, especially from the Contra series, and Contra: The Alien Wars is no exception to that fact. Alien Wars is a multi level style shooter for the Game Boy handheld system from Nintendo. You play as always as Bill Rizer and you're facing off against the evil Red Falcon. I've got to admit that I have difficulty with this game, however it's not a bad thing to plug 3 to 4 hours into any game from this series. It's a little pricey for a retro title, but it is worth the value. Graphically it is what you expect from the classic consoles pixilated but clean. Sounds is a wonderful heavy metal sounding MIDI in a nice mono stereo tone. There is no major color to speak of because it is ran in black and white. The only major concern I have with this game is no save area and for the inexperienced Contra and Konami player will find this game rather imposing and overwhelming especially when enemies are coming from all angles. I'm giving this game a very fair and firm 7 out of 10.
