At first you hate it for its difficulty and random levels. In the end, thats what makes this game so great.

If you are like me, then you've honestly and a little embarrassingly never actually played a Contra game in your life. But when you saw that article and those screenshots, that action packed trailer, you couldn't help but fall in love with it. At first when I played, I couldn't believe how hard this game was. I spent my first 4 times playing dieing my way through the 4 selectable levels you have. Then I found out you could turn it to Easy mode. It made it easier for me to get accustomed to the harsh unforgiving difficulty.

This game takes alot of skill, determination and basically practice. There are 7 levels in the game supposedly from what I know, I have only played through 6 of them and have never lasted more than 5 minutes on Stage 6. You only get to that if you manage to beat 5 levels with an A in each. Its really hard it will probably piss you off. Its like Metal Slug from Hell. The graphics are good enough, and the music tracks are edgy rock and techno. Good for getting you pumped.

You can appreciate it for being a game in this sad decade of games that most are just easy because you will eventually beat regardless of your skill. Contra isn't like that. I'm not a Contra fan, but I am a gamer, and one who craves hardcore difficulties and awesome boss fights. The only thing I will leave you with is this...ManFish...heed those words.
