It may be a little too short but its still worth playing

Believe it or not, Contra Shattered Solider is the best one in the series. It has incredible graphic effects as well as a superb soundtrack that fits the action quite well. The biggest issue is how short the game is, and you only control two characters that have the same mechanics. Although Bill jumps a bit higher than his female partner. The game doesn't too much have a story line except judging from the intro of the game. Bill is sent to prison for accidently killing 10,000,000 people until the dark forces attack earth. Bill is immediatly sent out to deal with the situation like never before.
The level designs will make you think of Twisted Metal Black. Your in the middle of a post Apocalyptic setting but the thing is, Contra Shattered Solider is actually fun and not really all that difficult like the older games were.
There are 5 to 6 levels to choose from, including a bonus battle if you score an S rank all levels. I would reccommend this one to anyone that loves 2D side scrolling action titles. It'll remind you of Metal Slug in a way.
