Poor graphics and bad shooting make this a step backwards for the series.

I'd heard it was a bad game but after enjoying the other games in the series, it was definitely a look at. For starters, the game is nothing like the old ones as it's no longer particularly nice to look at and they've scrapped the old format and cut the team down from four to two which takes out any tactical elements it had before. When I first started the game I couldn't believe how hit and miss the shooting was and how hard it was to see the bad guys but that does get better with time.

It's such an annoying game and is so generic it hurts my ears with some of the clichéd stuff they come out with. The game play is pretty basic and for a military shooter it's pretty unrealistic. The weapon upgrades are stupid - 200 bullet machine guns (I'm guessing that's possible though), double fire rate, and then no weapon recoil take all the fun out of the game. The fact that there's a limitless supply of ammo means you can pretty much just go into a run all guns blazing and not have to worry about reloading or wasting ammo.

To add to that is the fact that you can't even lean against a wall which for a military shooter is pretty bad. When you can't even conceal yourself to shoot, half the time you end up soaking up bullets and dying. The last problem I have with the game is the amount of bullets it takes to kill the enemy. You'd assume a headshot would kill them right? No chance. You can fire a ton of bullets at their head and they won't die - unless you use the sniper rifle which is too slow and inaccurate to bother with anyway.

All that makes it look like I really hated the game but I didn't entirely. Sure, the restart points means you have to do the same things over and over again when you die (which I did frequently) but the game does have something about it that can make it enjoyable. I don't know what but it's in there somewhere.
