Looking for a dose of Silent Hill like horror, Condemned is your game.
Creepy and disturbing are probably the best words to describe this game. I was so clever to play this in a dark room with the volume pumped up as the booklet suggested. Guess i gotten a few years older in the 9 hours i played it, with one jumpy moment after another. Walking around with a rusty steampipe (or a locker door, deskdrawer? i mean you can use almost anything to fight with) and my flashlight (thank you for not adding a dumb battery to the thing, cause as soon as i turned it off, it just got tooo damn uncomfortable) hearing cracking noises, footsteps, cursing or just maniacal laughter, expecting to be attacked at any moment, i bashed, kicked and stealthed my way through 10 chapters of intense (psychological)horror combined with quite an interesting storyline.
The game runs smoothly, with no really weird problems or extented loading screens. The enemies can get themselves wedged sometimes, but in the end, they are all mentally unstable freaked out aggressive people, and you would probably get yourself wedged then aswell eventually. Other then that the game was bug free altough i did found a few cockroaches here and there (harr harr)
This is definitely a good game and a must buy for the horror fans.
Got Condemned 2 lying here aswell which i will give a poke soon enough, as this one left me wanting more.
