A must for every fan of horror.

User Rating: 8.5 | Condemned 2 X360
"Condemned 2: Bloodshot" is a really solid and great looking game. I actually liked Ethan Thomas better this time around than in the first game. This time he's a barfly tossed away from society who's constantly battling his own demons instead of an upstanding, clean cut authority figure. Once again SEGA delivers in the nightmare department.

Combat has changed a little this time around. Now whatever weapon your using will break after prolonged use forcing you to try to find another, but don't freak out because it's not as bad as it sounds. To make up for broken weapons they've added your fists into the gameplay. So now if you've lost your 2x4 you can try out your kenpo on the crazy people's faces.

Guns are now more available this time (which will leave some people's trigger finger happy while others feel less guns improve the feel of the game). Aside from shooting somebody though they've improved hand to hand combat by putting in environmental kills which I love. Now if an enemy is on his knees you can take his head and slam it into a bookshelf or better yet a tv set (plus more).

Forensics is back and in my opinion improved on dramatically. Now instead of your character automatically using a device to check a crimescene you do it and your graded on how well you do by not only the questions your asked but also by the questions you yourself ask which really brings you deeper into the game.

And if you want the meaning of suspense just wait until you see the bear. BRILLIANT!

But alas, not all can be perfect in horrorland. Once again the story is this games major drawback. If you thought it was bad the first time you haven't seen this beauty yet. Personally I thought it was just completely AWFUL. Just plain BAD. The main reason I didn't give this game a higher rating was because of it. It was just completely out there, kinda like the first game but this time alot of the characters almost felt cartoony or something especially towards the end. The second reason for not giving it just a little higher rating was because towards the end you stop fighting alot of the monsters (or whatever you'd call them) and fight FBI agents (whats scary about THAT right?). But thankfully later on it does get a little more creepy at the end. But don't plan the greatest ending ever.

This is actually a great game despite it's flaws and also one of my top favorites (just like the first) so keep an open mind about them. Now you can also get both for less than ten dollars and for that price it's well worth it. I highly recommend both for anyone looking for a good horror game. And for a horror game fan your collections not complete without them.
