Red Alert 3 lives up to the Red Alert name armed with stunning visuals and fast paced gameplay.
The Allies have advanced units such as cryocopters and undoubtedly the best infantry units at the start of the game. The mighty Soviet union has cool deadly units like Hammer Tanks that decimate enemies at close range but lack air superiority until tech 2 and 3. The technologically advanced Empire of the Rising Sun focuses on fast exploration as most of their units are amphibious or have abilities that allow them to fly or surface such as Mecha Tengu's.
One of the games highlights is that each unit has a special ability from flea jumping on infantry to unsheathing deadly beam katanas. This gives the game a very unique taste of action.
The campaign is almost comical and somewhat re-playable and features lengthy cut scenes to reward your hardeasy work on missions. The campaign has many different objectives like using a commander unit to defend a base to attacking huge enemy strongholds with colossal units.
Skirmish in the game has intelligent AI with 4 difficulty levels but beginners to the C&C series will have difficulty defeating a medium. Online play is hectic and fast paced and is very fun even if you have played it a hundred times.
Overall Red Alert 3 lives up to the C&C name and is full of good gameplay and memorable moments.
