the third red alert game, red alert 3. the game is part of the command and conquer universe which is the largest game franchise now and in history.
Who's it for?
newbies to the command and conquer franchise with hours of spare time on their hands as the game can consume so much. fans of other command and conquer games going as far back as 1995 or who some call the seasoned veterans. the unemployed.
What is it like?
like other red alert games before it. very similar to red alert 2, which was a 2001 effort.

Foreword:
the third war between the leaders of the free world, the allied forces and our crazy communist friends, the soviets. for the first time, a new side makes an entrance, the disciplined and honourable empire of the rising sun. whose side are you on?
Gameplay:
since command and conquer: kanes wrath, the tiberium wars expansion pack, you can play the game using a clockwise/anti-clockwise menu selection. use this method to build structures, build and train units and one of the best things of the game, the shock and awe of the high command protocol. like in many other command and conquer games previously, you can assign units to groups which makes fighting battles and the ensuing war, more helpful.
Visuals:
included in your red alert 3 case will be the disc and manual, but also included should be a poster of women prostituting themselves... however, never fear, it is all quite softcore. i put mine up in my garage. at many times in the game, you will see the emphasis electronic arts has put on the girls of command and conquer red alert 3 as eye candy which they hope, will make men like me overly excited.
the difference between command and conquer red alert 3 and its sister game, command and conquer: tiberium wars, is that this time everything has a cartoonish look to it. visuals such as that are appropriate because of the outrageous units you can build and train in the game. grizzly war bears? sleek sonar dolphins? tanks that can transform into trees?
Audio:
i don't know where they got the audio for this game but on only first listen, you will know that the music dates back to the mid-19th century... about the time of world war 2. on careful listen, it sounds as if the music isn't even in english. the famous and classic "hellmarch" track from red alert 2 can be found in this game, taking one almost on a trip down memory lane. somewhat interestingly, electronic arts has shyed away from giving command responses to the allied units, american accents. expect a good british flavour to red alert 3 in also the cinema, which i guess is fitting.

this game is a must have for those who are fans and an easy introduction to the command and conquer universe which has games on the p.c., nintendo 64, psone and now the xbox 360. command and conquer games are xbox 360 exclusives and cannot be bought and played on the ps3!
