if you like TD, this is the place to be!

User Rating: 9 | Comet Crash PS3
I bought this game because I played al lot of TD (Tower Defence) lately, and saw that is was one of the top games on Gamespot. For $9.99 you get the following:

- 1 person single player
- co-op single player
- offline versus

general:

Tower defence is a game where troops must go to a single point on the map and if there there, destroy your HQ. to avoid this, you must build a maze with towers which attack the troops. normally in TD only defence, but in Comet Crash you also play offence.

As soon as the 5th level, it is clear that you cannot win this game with a large maze alone. you got to anticipate on the AI and react quickly to sudden attacks, which come in at random.

1 person single player:

when you start the game, this is propably the first thing you will do. You start with 1 type of tower and 1 type units. This slowly progresses over time to more complex types. It's to bad though that you do not have too use the 1000 units in the singleplayer.

There are some levels in the singleplayer in which the AI has a lot of 'barracks' creating an infinite source of troups. these are cool levels, because you'll have to get to his base before his troups reach yours. the level design is amazing in these levels.

co-op single player:

plays the same, only this time the 'money' is redestributed under your friends. It is lots of fun to play and playing co-op can be an advantage in non-stop attack levels.

offline versus:

when the AI is replaced with another player, the game gets tottaly different. people openly discuss grouping together and since the AI is fond of sending small army's of troops, your defence must be a LOT stronger. Of course this mode has the most replay value, and is an instant hit with friends or LAN-party's

conclusion:

if you like TD, this is a must have! and without it beeing fully-priced it is a bargain and a must for everyone!

P.S. if I sound like a commercial, sorry the game is THAT good
