Had a great time playing this game. Found myself ducking for cover on occasion. Perhaps the gamespot reviewer doesn't find the pace and mechanics of real combat satisfying enough, and true enough, the graphics aren't especially good compared to the more entertaining rts games. But, if you like playing real platoon/company level wargames, this one kicks some ass. All modern US combat vehicles and weapons capabilities are modeled realistically. Soldiers normally behave appropriately for combat situations. Combat action in close, street-to-street fighting is not quite as good as longer range fights in this game as in some first person shooters but still intense and atmospheric if you get down to ground level with the camera view. The point of the game is to use platoon and company-level tactics to accomplish real-world objectives, and it works. Highly entertaining.
