a nice portable FPS with only a few flaws. Best FPS on the PSP.
- nice singleplayer campaign for the PSP, with story
- weapon/battlesuit upgrade system is cool
- fun online multiplayer for 8 players
- good controls
- levels aren't repetitive like the 1st Coded Arms
- nice visuals and open environments in singleplayer
BAD:
- hacking gets boring in singleplayer
- AI isn't very smart
- online mulitplayer only has 5 maps
I think this is the best first person shooter on the PSP. It has singleplayer that is much better than the first game, and online multiplayer, which is fun. Contagion also has a story this time. While others think the story sucks, I think the story is fine. The controls are good also, providing the 5 control schemes. It has a few flaws though: the AI isn't very smart, hacking gets boring, and online multiplayer only has like 5 maps. Contagion is A LOT better than the first coded arms, which was repetitive. This game isn't repetitive in the singleplayer. There is a nice upgrading system for your weapons and it's fun hunting for the upgrade modules. Many of them are hard to get.
The multiplayer is really fun, but you might not like it if you suck at aiming, because you can't use lock-on in multiplayer. I like the fact that they did this, as it means that you need skill to kill in online, but many critics don't like this. That's because they suck. Lock-on is for n00bs in my opinion.
Overall I would recommend this game . It balances singleplayer and multiplayer. It's well worth the $30
