This game is fun to pick up on a rainy day, but it has some major flaws that should have been worked out.

User Rating: 6 | Clue SNES
Clue, the classic boardgame, comes to the Super Nintendo in a daring attempt to bring all the fun of boardgames into your television. I still bring it out, occasionally, on a rainy day. The sound (particularly the dice rolls and the music) are very cool for their time, and graphics are sufficient. Multiplayer gameplay can generally be a blast, and the Suggestion-Inquisition-Accusation system is a refreshing new twist on original Clue play.
But there are some major flaws with the game that need to be worked out. For starters, at the beginning of the game, when players are dealt cards, they have to trust other players not to look at the screen while they write down what cards they were given. Obviously, if every gamer could last on the honor system, we would not be innovating so many ways to prevent your opponent from seeing things like what play you call in Madden NFL.
Secondly, and this is my major problem with the game, in order to keep track of everything, you have to sit with a pen and paper to figure everything out. Obviously, it's not a big deal, but if I'm sitting at a table with a pen and paper, why don't I just play the boardgame with my friends?
