Not as good as the first or original on SNES, but still fun and interesting.

Clock Tower 2 takes what made the first installment scary and amps it up with a new story, new characters, and even more new endings to obtain through gameplay.

Clock Tower 2 takes the point and click gameplay from the first two games (the SNES and PSX games), continuing the tradition of making the series a "point and click adventure." While some people will complain about it, and say that it is one of the faults to the game, it simply makes it harder and more interesting because you have to put to use the items and hiding spots of the location you're in. I feel that the creators did an excellent job in terms of 'gameplay', although sometimes the cursor can become "confused" and run in the wrong direction, it usually does not occur that often.

In terms of storyline the game does not lack. You are not given every little detail at the beginning of the game or at one certain point of the game, you must continue playing through each area to figure out the storyline secrets and to obtain knowledge about certain characters and enemies within the game. The fact that you know so little, and don't know what to expect around the corner, makes this game a little scarier and more enjoyable compared to other games that allow you to learn of everything in the middle of the game.

As for enemies, there aren't too many. Which is good, you wouldn't want a billion enemies to appear within this type of game because you're relying only on what you can find and the hiding places that are placed throughout the game (although not all of them are SAFE hiding places), having a lot of them coming at you all at the same time would be a really bad idea and it would harm the game in terms of gameplay because it would make it too difficult to progress through certain areas.

The characters in Clock Tower 2 are pretty interesting. You play as Alyssa Hale, a 17 year-old girl who suffers from multiple-personality disorder and carries around an amulet that her father gave her. During gameplay, if you're not holding onto the amulet at certain points, Alyssa will turn into "Bates", her alternate personality and the more "outgoing" and "strong" side of Alyssa. You don't learn too much about Bates throughout the game but you can get different endings depending on whom you are playing in certain parts during a scenario. Other characters include Alyssa's uncle and aunt, as well as others you will meet along the way. The game doesn't spend too much time exploring the background of each character (and some you never learn the background of).

I feel Clock Tower 2 is a good game but it's nothing you should spend an outrageous amount of money on. You're better off finding it online or perhaps from a local used gamestore that sells older console video games (if you're lucky).

While most people will complain about Clock Tower 2, it is definitley a game worth picking up and playing if you're able to get a copy of it.
