Though many elements are misdirected, Jericho is a great action-horror game that is inspired by a horror writer.

Review Summary

The Good:
*Breath-taking atmosphere from the desert of Al-Khali to the wrecked Roman empire rule.
*Satisfying gunplay and power usage for each different each character, as if you are allowed to take control several character to your preferred play style and strategy. Healing, fire controlling Ababinili demon, telekinetic sniping, time controlling ability, and many more! How cool is that? Ice cold!
*Great voice work and dialogue scripting, that will surely make you remember every line. Steve Blum's finest voice work!
* Awesome sound effects that would keep you firing you guns.
*Each character is well crafted each with interesting backgrounds that could be seen in the extras.
*Strategies are infinity, there are just too many things you can make in order to kill your enemies. Trying a different strategic approach in the game is great, for example, you could trap enemies ahead with a blood ward and finish them off with brutal melee attacks.
*Each level is unique in many ways, different atmosphere and different enemies with unique variants.
*Tons of great firefights that will always keep you on your toes.
*Theme is very inspiring and great. The game aims to create a paradox of time in many events in history that would keep you intrigued.
*Controls are much better for PC versions.

The Bad:
*Emphasize on horror theme is very weak which I didn't really expect from a famous horror writer.
*First few hours is a drag, because you can't do a character jumping until you are much farther in the game. For initial gameplay, you'll take control normal soldier with an ability to heal fallen allies in battlefield, he can't do anything other than that.
*Difficulty is hard to differentiate, easy, normal, and hard feels the same, the only difference is that you regenerate much slower in higher level which isn't enough because character jumping makes things much easier.
*Lousy boss battles have a repetitive predictable pattern of attacks that can be beaten by simple strategy.
*Final boss battle and ending is a total joke! Sorry but I can't give away huge game spoiler.
*Pathfinding is somewhat too linear for a horror game, its like walking in a straight plank. The dungeon crawling maybe a little intimidating at first but you'll later realize that its just a dungeon with a one path.

The Final Verdict: Though many elements are misdirected, Jericho is a great action-horror game that is inspired by a horror writer.
