Many many improvements have gone into CL:world edition. The building editor is simply fantastic and easy to use, the new buildings are overwhelmingly detailed and there are massive improvements to AI. Most of all this the level of control you maintain over every aspect. Plus you can make some killer screen shots.
I love this game and it will be the biggest Simcity rival until Simcity 5. It is still quite memory intensive but when the graphics and gameplay are this good I don't care, go buy a new PC. I suggest at least 1 gig of RAM, 2GHz processor, 128MB GPU. The more ram the better though.
