For those that miss the original sim city, this is a good gap stop.

This game reminds me of the good old sim city games. It is limited in scope in that you only are doing transportation, but the cities in which you are living in feel alive to me and they are beautifully rendered. Its like a combination of Sim City and Roller Coaster Tycoon. You start in the 1930's and 1940's and continue until the 2000's, you get to watch as transportation grows and becomes modernized. It is a good game, certainly not the best game I have ever played, but definitely for strategy people in this genre it is definitely worth a try. I also picked this up for half off on Steam, which probably is a good price point for this game.

The challenge is good for all of the cities and each brings a different unique challenge to it. A lot of the fun is just watching your transportation move throughout this beautifully rendered city.

There are a couple things that I feel they did wrong. They let you keep getting loans, even when you are millions of dollars in debt. Which makes you be able to beat some of the money goals they set. All you have to do is take out another loan. Which is a way to cheat the system. But if you do take out a bunch of loans it ruins your chance of competing later in the game.
