Yes it's an odd game with an odd title. I first came across this series with it's PS1 game and I thought why not give this one a try. Well it doesn't have the same kind of charm in 2-D fighting as it does in it's shooter roots. The game seems to inspire button mashing and dashing. There is some slight humor, but not even to warrant much time playing. I don't really think I can recommend this game to anyone besides completionist's who either need every game from the Cho Aniki series or someone who needs to own every game on the Super Famicom. I will however recommend the two Playstation titles as their humor is much better. Check out my review of the PS2 game Choaniki: Sei Naru Protein Densetsu. I'll give it a 4.9/10 (obviously I scored it at 5, but that was a mercy score...and the fact that I couldn't score it at 4.9). Not quite worth owning.
