Excellent Movie, But the Game Needs More

Chicken Run is an excellent example of how stop-motion animation can produce an 84 minute feature film, but this spin-off game falls flat. Usually video game spin-offs don't really impress me. It's hard to beat, and it requires skills and concentration. The camera is aerial view, and the game starts at night, so you should alter the brightness on your TV set. You are supposed to go around the chicken coop and avoid the guard dogs, and find "wire cutters" to get onto the farm, and then get the plans to escape the farm. Sadly, while this may sound like fun, this is pretty difficult. It's really hard once you reach the daytime section, at least you can see, but it's pretty hard. Also, you have to avoid Mr. and Mrs. Tweedy as well. Overall, it's a decent movie-to-videogame adaptation. Rent it first.
