This RPG is over 100 hours long, and it isn't filled with crap either.

I loved everything about the first Champions of Norrath, and its sequel does everything to improve on a great game.

At the start, you get to choose your character. There are 7 types of races to choose from (barbarian, archer, cleric, wizard, knight, and two new ones: tiger swordsman and a lizard shaman), and male or female. Then, you can customize just about everything, from skin, to eyes, to name.

In the game, there is melee combat, ranged combat, and spells. Each race has their own set of 10-15 spells that you unlock as you go along. Melee is using axes, swords, maces, and such to rip apart your enemy from close-range. Also, they are well-balanced, as if you have a very strong weapon, you cannot used a shield, which is an important part of battle. This does kind of feel like a button masher, though. The ranged attacks feature a line that you can direct for a split second to your enemy. It isn't impossible, but it isn't easy either, just how it should feel.

The game uses a top-down camera view, which works perfectly. The story is divided into 10 "plains" that you have to travel to. Each plain is about 6 hours long, making 60 hours. After you complete a plain, you can do a short side quest in it that takes about 2 hours and yunlocks an artifact. There is also an arena mode in each plain that takes about 2 hours.

The graphics are solid and well-detailed, but the audio is a little lacking. At times, it is repetitive. The graphics however, are very detailed from far-away, and the character models look great.

In the story, you can choose to be good or evil, which leads down two seperate sets of plains. That adds to even more replay value! The story isn't that interesting though.

The multiplayer is a good concept but isn't without its flaws. The online is very good, with a consistent framerate and co-op with up to 4 players. The offline isn't as promising, however. Everything is good, except for one fatal problem. The two players have to stay within 25 yards of each other, or they will both get stuck. This deletes some of the strategy in this game.

Overall, this is a great game. There are very varied enemy types and levels, and great boss battles. You can also customize every bit of armor, spell, and weapon that you have. On the contrary, the multiplayer isn't perfect, the audio is lacking, and it is a bit of button masher. This game is a must have for anyone who likes action games, RPGs, or both.
