This action RPG has absolutely wonderful graphics for its era. Very deep customizations, and so many weapons to use.

User Rating: 9 | Champions of Norrath PS2
Champions of Norrath is definitely one of the most remarkable action role-playing games in the gaming universe. This game has outstanding graphics for its time, most games during this period were new to the PlayStation 2 console, therefore, graphics were usually a weakness. But Champions of Norrath was a well-developed game with the necessary graphics. Champions of Norrath also consists of very deep customization, although there are a rather limited amount of abilities, but each class has its own custom abilities, and each ability can be improved. In the beginning, your character will receive its own name, hair style, facial hair, etc. all in which you customize yourself. Items can be obtained in so many ways, from defeating monsters, bosses, quests, treasure chests, and much more. Weapons can also be customized, there are various stones, gems, and crystals that can be inserted into weapons to increase their power, speed, or add additional aspects to make the weapon have extra attributes that will contribute to the battles. The game has a number of difficulties for players to choose, each is unlocked when the previous difficulty is beaten. The game includes roughly, 5 or 6 Acts, or stages of the game. These stages are rather long, but vary throughout. The game is long enough for players to enjoy, but in my opinion, could have been even longer. The game's storyline is its weakness, the story plot is not exactly organized or structured, during cutscenes, the character never speaks, although they do speak when a new area is discovered. The character development of other NPCs are only average, and aspects of the story tend to be rather random. Events also seem to occur with few explanation. But the terrain and environment of the game varies greatly from stage to stage, and the diversity of these areas simulates a boundless game. In conclusion, the story plot could have been more organized, but the gameplay itself is very exciting and definitely enjoyable for RPG fans alike.
