I still can't believe the game is criticized because it was a very difficult game. I believe the reason for it being so difficult is for the trade off that you don't have to worry about having a "Game Over". The Alchemy screen is very basic and wonderful to use, but to some it could be difficult to manage. I also hear that it's criticized because there's no checkpoints. There's an alchemical mix that looks like a door at the bottom of the board that creates one. Complete the first three levels on each elemental plane on very easy or easy, it'll ask you to try hard. Complete the first three levels on each elemental plane, you'll advance to a much harder set which I found quite fun. Basically if you have the patience to try new things and make mistakes to learn them in this game, it's a really good game. Best for serious gamers only.
