Chakan was a pretty interesting game back in the day.

I remember playing this game and thinking about how weird it was. But it was weird in a good way now that I think about it. There were a lot of cool things about this game that I liked. I thought the story was pretty cool, along with the sword fighting in the game.

The story of this game, although it is a little hard to remember after all these years is pretty much this: You are a pirate from the 1400s, and you go on a journey to find some secret item. Along the way, you are stabbed by the other pirate guy, and for some reason, his balde turns you into a deformed figure. Then you have to find the secret that will help you turn back into a human again. Travelling through portals to hell and back, you will go through many different environments with different enemies to fight.

Throughout the game, you play as Chakan, a master sword fighter and alchemist. The sword fighting was unique in this game because there were many different ways to hold the swords when attacking. You could hold them up in the air, you could hold one diagonally up and one down on both sides, you could hold one to the ground and one to the side, and you could point them both at the ground to kill the smaller enemies. I also thought the potion menu was cool, because you could combine potions and find out their effects.

The levels in this game were also nice, but a little confusing at times. There were a lot of portals with different pictures on them, and you had to remember the pictures to find out where you were going. I thought that was a pretty unique idea. I also thought that the hell/underworld-like levels matched the game perfectly.

All in all, this game was a pretty cool and unique adventure to take part in. I enjoyed playing it.
