I don't see the hype
Although Castlevania is not without it's charms. Classic Vampire enemies and all the bosses, minus one, are really cool. The smaller enemies are easy to kill in most cases but some rooms are so crazy that you can hardly navigate them without taking a few hits.
That aside Castlevania has quite a few weapons. Sword, Axe, Holy Water, and Cross. Each of which are good in their own and can be used once for each of the heart you collect throughout the level.
Graphics are pretty good for this game and it sets a pretty good mood for one of the first action horror games ever made.
Overall it's an ok game but I have a feeling there are much better installments in the series.
