Its been 17 years that I first saw this game. The 1st of its kind. As old gamers remembered the great adventures of Simon sets in NES. This is Konami's Production, they've bring new innovative action and hardcore audience to the world of gaming of CASTLEVANIA where Simon battled his way againts the whordes of darkness. It is consider as a action platforming.
Every stage are very linear, just like a racing game, you started in the start line and finished in the finish line. But its well designed. Jumping, Crossing and Whiping (just like Indiana). As you progress by its stage, the game itself gets difficult. You battle differents enemies and a Boss, like your favorite B-movie, to name a few: Franky, Wolfman, Mummy and many more. Until it reaches to the highest peak of the castle where you battle the father of darkness. no, its not the Devil, its Dracula. Before you undergo some great trials on your adventure, you find yourself some useful weapons, a sub-weapon: a dagger, an axe, rosary and my favorite one cross boomerang for your arsenal. The Graphics are one of the best that delivers by the system as you see different kinds of enemies and their animations. The Sound is great and also its music, who would forget the theme music of the game.
Its difficult, its FUN and brings new to us that time as gamers fully enjoyed the adventure of Simon. This is best of its kind and the first... no one miss this kind of game in the 80's. Castlevania, a classic.
