Best 2D game on the Playstation or any Sony platform
Basically this is one of those games in a franchise that changes the course of how things will be from now until the end and if you don't like it, you're best with a different franchise. For those who are still curious, basically if you love Castlevania for all its installments and especially enjoy Metroid, then you'll love this game. The game borrows plenty from Metroid and adds RPG elements to it to make a game drastically different from past Castlevania games.
Also this time around there's more to the game then just find and slay Dracula and cue ending. This game is about the whole journey to do so and the things in between in knowing the characters and the world a bit more.
Really in short if you want a 2D game there's no better choice for the PS1 or PS2.
