Symphony of the Night is the best Castlevania ever made, period.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is in my opinion the best Castlevania ever made on any platform. It's a side scrolling action/rpg that stays true to the original games while adding tons of weapons, armor, items to get and a huge castle to explore. Alot of the Nintendo handhelds have tried to make Castlevania games in the same vein as SOFN and they always come close but never have they made one on par with this game for the original Playstation. The graphics are good for it's time and there's always something to look at moving in the background of the castle and every piece of equipment you have on you can visually see which in our day is more common then it was back in 1997. The music is some of the best to be heard in any video game to date and it never get's old and always feels fresh. Once you beat Castlevania if you did all the side quests you'll have the option of exploring the 'alternate' caslte which is the same caslte you just conquered but flipped upside down and with stronger enemies and rare weapons. This is awesome and really makes the game worth exploring and finding out everything. I highly recommend downloading this classic on the playstation network and playing through it.
